Right trapezius · transverse part

Inspect the transverse component of the right trapezius. Three separately selectable source objects on each side represent portions of one muscle, not three independent muscles.

Atlas noteOriginal-source surface geometry; colors are illustrative. This partial study has not yet received specialist anatomical review.

Identify this source portion

Compare the transverse component with the ascending and descending components on the same side.

Rotate between Back and Oblique to inspect the central source component and its boundaries with the other two portions.

The portion names and sides follow the BodyParts3D index. Their boundaries are original source boundaries; Anatomio has not cut a whole-muscle mesh or generated an opposite-side mirror.

Landmarks of the whole trapezius

Trapezius connects the posterior skull, nuchal ligament and C7–T12 spinous processes with the lateral clavicle, acromion and scapular spine.

These landmarks describe the muscle as a whole. They do not assign every attachment to this selected portion or mark exact footprints on its surface. Open the human overview for the loaded clavicles and scapulae; skull, cervical spine and nuchal ligament are not yet modeled here.

Scapular action and innervation

Different parts contribute to scapular elevation, depression and retraction; together they also participate in upward rotation. Motor supply is through the spinal accessory nerve; cervical contributions convey proprioceptive information.

The static model illustrates position and shape, not contraction. Selecting one portion does not simulate its isolated force, fiber direction or nerve distribution.

Compare the three portions

Search for trapezius in the model to find all six source objects. Start with the three on one side, then compare the corresponding portion on the opposite side. Isolate shows only the selection; Show context restores the available assembly.

The back study now includes these six portions and four rhomboids with the thoracic and lumbar spine and sacrum. Other back muscles and soft tissues are not loaded; gaps in this partial assembly should not be interpreted as normal anatomical openings.

About this model

BodyParts3D identifies this surface as right trapezius · transverse part: FMA33584 / FJ1554. Its original coordinates and topology are preserved. Anatomical sides refer to the body, not the screen.

The trunk assembly includes thoracic and lumbar vertebrae, sacrum, ribs, sternum parts, hip bones, selected muscles and 14 indexed costal cartilages. Discs, cervical vertebrae, coccyx, organs and other trunk muscles are not loaded.
